The Friends meet every Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday Morning from 09:30 in workshop on Wapping Street, off River Drive, South Shields. See Map

Help is always required on the various projects and the workshop is open between 10:00 and 15:00 hours weekdays and from 10:00 for a couple of hours on Saturdays. The current major project is the refit of the Royal Diadem which is nearing completion.

NEMT Workshop Facilities
With the help from The National Lottery Awards for All, new wood working machines are now installed in our workshops and not only will these be essential to the progress on our own vessels under restoration and repair, but we can now offer a machining facility for a small fee.
