That's a fine looking coble. I'm the great-grandson of a coble fisherman and lifeboat coxswain of Boulmer, Robert Stephenson (1866-1937) and distantly related to at least one of the owners.

She is to lifted out of the water very soon (next Tuesday 31st all going well) and will be up on the quay outside of the NEMT workshops where She will remain for a few weeks whilst we complete some minor repairs. We would be delighted if you came to visit. Email me to make arrangements and to exchange contact details.

We too have been very proud indeed to have preserved the Royal Diadem II and to be able to have taken Her to the Tall Ships this year for all to see. The love and enthusiasm has been tremendous.
Keep in touch, Best wishes, Dave Parker.

I have compiled a booklet about the 'Royal Diadem II' but there are gaps in the ownership history after William Raplh Wood / james Carse, the latter is said to have owned the coble either before or after William Wood. I had heard that before Harry Chamberlain, a Hector Handyside had owned it. This came from Paul Robinson, the signwriter. Any further information would be very helpful as it would be included in the history of the coble. A full provenance for any maritime heritage is priceless.
